Welcome

Here at Saugeen Valley Nursing Center, we believe Home is where the heart is . . . and this Home has lots of heart!

We are dedicated and passionate in the care we provide. We take a strong interest in you, the person – it’s about the relationship we develop with you that makes the difference. We hope that you will invite us to participate in your life experiences as you make our home your home.

I look forward to getting to know you & your family.

Warmest Regards,
Andrea Parsons, Owner/President

Life In The Community

Mount Forest Photo - Hwy 6 South Bridge
A scenic home to Saugeen Valley Nursing Center, Mount Forest is a part of Wellington North Township in Wellington County, Ontario. Located on the Saugeen River, it is a friendly, historic town. Residents are encouraged to participate in community outings. In turn, community groups are welcomed to visit the facility in our efforts to strengthen the association between the residents and the surrounding community.

The staff feel a strong sense of ownership and accountability as they are often caring for people they know from their personal lives ... community members, relatives ... caring for those who are the threads of the community.

Volunteers are always needed to help organize programs and provide individual services. Want to Volunteer? Find out how by clicking here.

Relatives and Friends, especially children, are encouraged to visit. Family pets (properly vaccinated, housebroken and leashed) are also welcome.

Mission Statement

Respite Care

MDS- Holistic Team-based Care Planning
Administrator's Bulletin, Summer 2008

Now in our 3rd year, we’re considered a “senior” in the MDS Early Adopter world! Saugeen chose to participate in this program to improve resident care and for the opportunity to work directly with MOHLTC to provide input into mandatory long-term care standards.
